Q. How to point your website address to use the website you built with CurryHunter?


Step 1/2: Add an 'A' record on your website address/domain's DNS manager to 149.5.47.54


What is an 'A' record, what does that do?

> 'A' records let users enter your domain name in a Web browser to access your website served by us.
> An 'A' (host) record connects your domain name to our server IP address 149.5.47.54 .
> You can delete this 'A' record any time you want by accessing your domain's DNS manager.
> It will take maximum 48 hours for your changes to take effect - usually it's couple of hours.

Godaddy

    Follow the directions to access the DNS Manager.
  1. Click Add Record.
  2. From the Record type list, select A (Host).
  3. Complete the following fields:
    • Host Name — Enter your domian name including the www
    • Points to IP Address — Enter the IP address 149.5.47.54 for this host record.
    • TTL — Select how long the server should cache the information.
  4. Click OK, then click Save Zone File. The new A record displays in the A (Host) section.
  5. In 24-48 hours your website will be available under your existing website address

123-reg

    Follow the directions here to add the A record.
  1. Login to your 123-reg control panel.
  2. In the Domain names section, select the relevant domain name in the drop-down list and click on the Manage button.
  3. Scroll down to the Advanced Domain Settings section and click on the Manage DNS (A, MX, CNAME, TXT) link.
  4. From the Advanced DNS tab.
  5. Select A from the Type drop down list in the Add new entry section.
  6. In the Hostname field enter www
  7. In the Destination IPv4 address field enter the IP address 149.5.47.54
  8. Click on the Add new entry button to save the new record.
  9. If this record is to replace an existing record you can delete the original record by pressing the delete button.


Step 2/2: Let us know

Go to your restaurant's admin management page and than change the website address by following the "Get own website address" button
